This is lovely, Amy. BTW, I am reading your book woot! I’m trying to take it a little slow because I have vitreous detachment in my reading Eye, so my vision is very blurry. Maybe it’s good that I’m going slow so that I don’t miss anything because the book kind of wants me to read fast as the story is very compelling!

I am like that, too. As a kid I thought it was a badge of honor to read so fast. But when I read an amazing essay about fast reading and tested myself I found that I was actually doing some skimming along with actual reading.
